Who we are

This website is run by ANYCOMPCOMPANY LTD, trading as AnyCompCo (“we”, “us”). We are the data controller for personal information collected through the AnyCompCo house websites and the company inbox.

  • Company number: 17065241
  • Registered office: 726 Burnley Road, Rossendale, England, BB4 8BH
  • Email: hello@anycompcompany.co.uk

You can check the company at Companies House.

What this notice covers

This notice applies to anycompcompany.co.uk, anycompcompany.com, and the CloudFront hosts we use for those sites. It covers enquiries sent to hello@anycompcompany.co.uk and the logs we keep to run the site.

It does not cover product sites and apps. Those collect their own data and publish their own notices:

  • The Grapple Mill (gym) — thegrapplemill.co.uk/privacy.html
  • Companion (member app) — members.thegrapplemill.co.uk/privacy
  • The Grapple League — its own notice when the league site is live
  • Amelia — its own notice when the event product is live

Class bookings, membership accounts, payments, and event entries are not handled on this house site. Send those to the relevant product.

What we collect

Enquiries

If you email us, we receive whatever you send: your email address, name if you include it, the message, and any files you attach. We use that to reply. If the message is clearly for a product (for example a class booking), we may pass it to that product’s team so they can answer you.

We do not run a newsletter or marketing list from this site.

Website logs

The site is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). CloudFront keeps access logs so we can run, secure, and cost the service. Those logs typically include IP address, date and time, the page requested, referrer, and browser/device information. They are not used to build advertising profiles.

What we do not collect here

This house site has no accounts, no payment forms, and no class or event booking. We do not ask for date of birth, payment cards, or membership details on these pages.

Why we use it

We use personal information to:

  • Reply to enquiries about the company, partnerships, or press
  • Route a message to the right product when that is what you asked for
  • Keep the website available, secure, and billed correctly
  • Meet legal duties if they apply (for example company or tax records)

UK GDPR legal bases:

  • Legitimate interests — answering someone who contacted us, and running a secure website. You can object; see Your rights.
  • Steps before a contract — if you write about working with us or buying a product.
  • Legal obligation — if we must keep or disclose a record.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use it for advertising networks.

Who we share it with

Directors of ANYCOMPCOMPANY LTD read the company inbox.

We use service providers to operate the site and the inbox. They process data for us, not for their own marketing:

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) — hosting, content delivery, and access logs. S3 origin and log storage are in London (eu-west-2). CloudFront is a global CDN. AWS privacy
  • ImprovMX — forwards mail sent to hello@anycompcompany.co.uk to our company group inbox. ImprovMX privacy
  • Google — the group inbox and the mail the directors use to reply (Google Groups / Gmail). Google privacy

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to professional advisers (for example accountants or solicitors) under confidentiality.

International transfers

Some providers are in, or can access data from, countries outside the UK — in particular Google and parts of AWS. Where that happens we rely on the UK’s mechanisms for international transfers (for example the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where a provider is certified, or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum / standard contractual clauses).

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries — while we deal with the request, then for up to 24 months unless a longer period is needed (for example a live commercial discussion, or a legal claim). We then delete or anonymise the thread.
  • Website access logs — 90 days, then they expire.
  • Legal or accounting records — for as long as the law requires, typically up to six years if an enquiry becomes a billed contract.

Cookies

This house site does not set first-party cookies and does not load analytics, advertising, or social pixels. Fonts and scripts are served from our own host. The menu script only opens and closes navigation in the browser.

If we add optional analytics later, we will update this notice and, where the law requires it, ask before setting non-essential cookies.

Links to product sites (The Grapple Mill, Companion, and others) take you to those products’ own cookies and notices.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Erase data where we no longer need it (subject to legal retention)
  • Restrict or object to certain processing, including legitimate interests
  • Receive a copy of data you provided, in a portable format, where that right applies

Email hello@anycompcompany.co.uk. We will respond within one month, or tell you if we need more time. We may need to confirm who you are before we act.

There is no automated decision-making or profiling on this house site that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

Children

This company site is not aimed at children. Junior classes and under-18 member accounts sit with The Grapple Mill and are covered by that gym’s notices. If we receive an enquiry about a child, we expect a parent or guardian to be the person emailing us.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, email us first. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO): ico.org.uk, or write to Information Commissioner’s Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF.

Changes

We will update this notice when the site, our providers, or the law changes. The date at the top is the latest version. Material changes will be reflected on this page before they apply to new use of the site.
